Throughout my years taking wedding photos In the Phoenix area, I have visited so many incredible venues. I am a big fan of Arizona’s natural beauty, so my favorite locations tend to be ones that show off the beauty of the desert landscape.
Choosing a venue is more than just looks and aesthetics, though those things are important. The venue you choose for your wedding plays a big part in the overall feel of your day. A good venue will enhance your photos, your design choices, and your experience while there. When you’re making decisions about what venue is right for you, it’s important to take in-person tours to get an accurate idea of the vibe and ambiance.
There are so many beautiful venues in this area, but I’ve narrowed down my favorites to three fantastic locations that really show off the beauty of the desert. Let’s dive in!
The Paseo
This venue has to be one of my favorite locations to shoot at. There really is nothing like it! The Paseo has been on my wedding photography bucket list for a long time, and actually being there far exceeded my expectations. After working there, I felt inspired and motivated to completely dive into wedding photography. It was a life-changing experience for me!
I love The Paseo for personal reasons, but also because it’s a gorgeous location! Nestled up against the Superstition Mountains, this property represents everything that Arizona has to offer. It really has the best dreamy desert wedding day vibes. From beautiful views of the desert to sophisticated architecture, the Paseo is one of the dreamiest outdoor wedding venues in this area.
The Willow
If you’re looking for a private, picturesque venue, the Willow is an incredible option. Every time I shoot weddings here, I love it more and more. My clients are always so impressed with everything this venue has to offer. It really has everything you could ask for and more: beautiful desert backgrounds, accommodating coordinators, and tons of places for photos.
It’s located just outside of Phoenix, but you’d never be able to tell that you’re so close to the city because it feels so peaceful and isolated there. The ceremony area and barn overlooks gorgeous stretches of desert hills and cacti. It’s really a dreamy view! Being at the Willow feels like you’re in your own little world, and it’s absolutely breathtaking.
Foothills Golf Club
The Foothills Golf Club is a picture-perfect location. I love shooting weddings here because there is so much variety for photos. With a ceremony area that overlooks the desert hills and indoor/outdoor reception areas, it’s such an ideal spot for desert-themed weddings. The outdoor veranda is perfect for dancing the night away!
This gorgeous golf club is located in the hills outside of Phoenix. It sits at the perfect elevation so you have stunning views of the desert landscape no matter where you look. It’s stunning year round– the last wedding I shot here was during the springtime and the hills were covered with wildflowers. It made for the most gorgeous photos!
