I am so excited to share the beautiful photos from Shannon and Chris’s summer wedding in Florida. There were so many things that made this day such a dream, starting with the incredible bride and groom who became fast friends of mine.
About a year before their wedding, the Dells reached out to me to see if I would take their engagement photos. They were going to be visiting Arizona around the holidays and loved the idea of a desert-themed session. All it took was one phone call with them before we ended up booking the entire wedding, which was scheduled to take place in Pensacola, Florida. From their engagements to their big day, I had so much fun working with this sweet couple.
Both Shannon and Chris work in law enforcement, and I’d say that they’re the kind of people who are just good down to their bones. They are friendly, fun, welcoming, and thoughtful. They truly just have hearts of gold! It was such an honor to be able to take their photos.
I was able to travel to Pensacola Beach for Shannon and Chris’s dream destination wedding. Being from Arizona, I’m used to the heat, but Florida was another level of hot and humid. It didn’t stop the day from being a truly beautiful celebration! The backdrop of the white sandy beach and the clear blue water could not have been more perfect.
The Dells were married at the Portofino Island Resort in Pensacola. Every detail was carefully and intentionally thought through, which made the wedding day a breeze. Everything went off without a hitch, from the tear-filled ceremony to the gorgeous reception and party where they danced the night away.
Shannon and Chris celebrated with the most supportive group of their loved ones. It was one of those groups that felt immediately welcoming– like I’d been friends with them for years. You could practically see their love for each other just pouring out of everyone there. It was the most beautiful environment!
One of my favorite moments of the night was when I was able to sneak away with the bride and groom for some photos on the private beach. I feel so incredibly honored to capture every part of the wedding day, but the sweet, intimate moments where the couple can take in the feelings of the day are truly so special.
This wedding day in Pensacola was the ultimate destination wedding dream. I could not have thought up a more perfect day for Shannon and Chris, and I’m so happy they were able to enjoy it.
